Tanisha M. Bagley is the author of The Price of Love: One Woman’s Journey Through Domestic Violence—Based on a True Story, and an award-winning keynote speaker, entrepreneur, and trauma-informed advocate dedicated to advancing survivor-centered responses to domestic violence, sexual assault, mental health, and suicide prevention. Born in the Bronx, New York, and raised in Palmer Springs, Virginia, Tanisha brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work—offering audiences a powerful blend of credibility, compassion, and actionable insight.

As a survivor herself, Tanisha understands that healing is not linear—it is lifelong. Through impactful keynotes, professional trainings, and interactive workshops, she equips individuals, organizations, and institutions with the tools to recognize the long-term effects of violence, respond with empathy and accountability, and implement prevention-focused, trauma-informed practices. Her work is rooted in the belief that awareness alone is not enough—lasting change requires education, action, and systems-level responsibility.

Tanisha has trained more than 700 Raleigh Police Officers and has worked in partnership with the North Carolina Department of Corrections, as well as schools, colleges, universities, faith-based institutions, and community organizations nationwide. Her restorative justice and rehabilitation efforts include facilitating programs for justice-involved populations through FOTM (Fathers On The Move) as their Domestic Violence Specialist. The S.O.A.R. (Sexual Offenders Accountability and Responsibility) and S.T.O.P & Change Direction Domestic Violence Education and Treatment programs—addressing violence prevention from both survivor and accountability perspectives.

A sought-after national voice, Tanisha has spoken at conferences, women’s empowerment summits, and federal violence prevention forums, reaching audiences across generations. Her advocacy and expertise have been featured on The Russ Parr Morning Show, The Tom Joyner Morning Show’s Stop the Violence Campaign, The Reverend Al Sharpton Show, The Montel Williams Show, and in PINK Magazine. She has also appeared as an invited audience guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show and has received multiple honors, including Mentor of the Year and Citizen of the Year awards.
